The beloved Musical Fountain, one of Europe’s largest and one of the city’s most photographed free attractions, is about to go dark for a major renovation, and September 30, 2026, marks the last day to catch its full light, water, and music show before the work begins.

Once construction wraps up, the fountain goes through a short test run before being prepped for winter at the end of October, following its usual seasonal shutdown pattern.
