The beach provides a true Caribbean atmosphere with palm trees, umbrellas, cocktails, and beach food. For families with young children, there is a separate children’s pool and a dedicated playground area.

The beach offers ample changing facilities, with large dressing cabin areas in the Main Building and a smaller one at the land tongue, both equipped with showers and toilets. Additional showers are scattered throughout the beach for convenience. A dedicated toilet for children is located near the playground.

Lupa Beach is home to the LUPA Wake, one of the largest water adventure parks in the country and the largest wakeboard center in the Central European region. The park features a 6-point advanced track, a 5-point learner track, and two 2-point beginner tracks, with a total of 22 world-class elements. You can explore the lake on a SUP board or take wakeboarding lessons from “five-star” instructors.

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

Lupa Beach is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the season, with the ticket office closing 30 minutes before sunset. Ticket prices vary depending on age and time of entry:

  • Adults: 6,000 HUF (4,000 HUF after 4 p.m.)
  • Juniors (12-18 years): 4,000 HUF (2,800 HUF after 4 p.m.)
  • Seniors (60+): 4,000 HUF (2,800 HUF after 4 p.m.)
  • Children under 12: Free

Visitors with a Szentendre or Budakalász address card can purchase tickets on-site with a 50% discount.

Admission

    • Admission to the beach is granted upon purchase of a valid ticket or presentation of a pass.
    • Children under 12 years old can enter for free, while junior tickets (ages 12-18) and senior tickets (over 60) are available at a discounted rate.
    • Visitors with a Szentendre or Budakalász address card can purchase tickets on-site with a 50% discount.

    Beach Safety

      • All visitors must use the beach and its services at their own risk and responsibility, being aware of their health condition.
      • Swimming is only allowed within the designated areas marked by buoys and during specified hours.
      • Children under 14 must always be supervised by a parent or adult and wear special water-proof nappies if not toilet trained.
      • Smoking is permitted only in designated areas and without disturbing other visitors.
      • Visitors must follow the instructions on warning signs and pictograms.

      Conduct and Behavior

        • Visitors are expected to behave in a manner that does not jeopardize their own or others’ health and safety or disturb other visitors.
        • It is strictly forbidden to engage in conduct that violates public morals, public order, or the rules of coexistence.
        • The Beach staff reserves the right to remove any person who violates the House Rules or disturbs other visitors.

        Food and Beverages

          • Visitors may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages for personal consumption, but these may not be taken into the water.
          • Alcoholic beverages and excessive amounts of food and drinks are not allowed on the beach.
          • Catering facilities at the beach do not serve severely intoxicated visitors.

          Lost & Found and Luggage Storage

            • Any lost items found should be brought to the ticket office, where they will be logged in the lost and found register.
            • Luggage lockers are available for convenience, but the Beach assumes no responsibility for items stored in the lockers or left in the dressing areas.

            Parking

              • Parking lots are available for a fee, but the Beach does not provide security or assume responsibility for vehicles or their contents.
              • Visitors must follow the parking rules and regulations (KRESZ) while using the parking facilities.

              By following these House Rules, we can all contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment at Lupa Beach. The Beach management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these rules or causes disturbances.

              Tips for Visitors

              • Lupa Beach is a cashless zone, so be sure to bring your bank card for payments.
              • Sunbeds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but canopy beds in the Private Beach and VIP Lounge area can be reserved by phone.
              • The beach is child-friendly, with dedicated toilets, a nappy changing room, a playground, and a water adventure park for families.
              • Lockers and luggage storage are available for a fee.
              • Visitors are not allowed to bring their own food and drinks in excess of personal needs, and no glass containers are permitted.

              Getting There

              Lupa Beach is located on the northern edge of Budapest and is easily accessible by public transport, bike, or car.

              By Public Transport: Take the No. 5 HÉV to Budakalász station, and from there it’s about a 20-minute walk, or you can take the electric Lupa minibus from the Budakalász HÉV stop.

              By Bike: The Eurovelo 6 leads directly to the bike entrance, where you can access the free bike parking. If you prefer to cycle less, take the HÉV to Budakalász or the Lupa bus, as you can transport your bike on both.

              By Car: From Budapest, take the main road 11 towards Szentendre, turn right towards the Danube at the Lupa-sziget junction – on the Lupaszigeti road – and follow the signs to the main car park at the main entrance.

              Parking: Parking is available every day from 0-24. Parking fees are 200 HUF/hour, up to 1,500 HUF per day. Bicycle parking is available at both entrances, with free lock rental available in the free bike lounge. Please note that bicycles are not allowed on the beach.

              Nearby Attractions

              After enjoying the beach, you can explore some nearby attractions, such as the Buda Castle, or the Hungarian Parliament Building.
