Free Contemporary Art Exhibition in the Heart of Budapest: Art is Therapy

If you’re looking for a unique cultural experience during your visit to Budapest, you don’t need to go far — or spend a single forint. The ninth edition of Art Corner by Clark & Leo opened on April 22, 2026, presenting Hungarian artist Horváth Lóczi Judit’s exhibition titled “Art is Therapy” in the shared spaces of Hotel Clark Budapest and Leo Bistro. Best of all, entry is completely free.
What Is the Art Corner Exhibition Series?
Art Corner is one of Budapest’s most distinctive cultural initiatives, born from a collaboration between Hotel Clark Budapest and Leo Bistro, which has been running since autumn 2021. Held twice a year, the series brings contemporary fine art out of traditional gallery settings and places it in living, breathing everyday spaces — a hotel lobby, a bustling bistro — so that art becomes part of the experience rather than a destination in itself.
The concept is rooted in the hotel’s own cultural legacy: Hotel Clark Budapest stands on the site where the legendary Lánchíd Kávéház once welcomed Budapest’s intellectuals, writers, and poets. That spirit of creative gathering lives on through Art Corner.
About the Exhibition: “Art is Therapy” by Horváth Lóczi Judit
Colorful Paintings and Small Sculptures with a Powerful Message
This ninth edition, organized in partnership with ArtNesz Képzőművészeti Ügynökség and The Space Contemporary Art Gallery, focuses on the therapeutic power of art. Horváth Lóczi Judit’s works — colorful paintings and small sculptures — explore emotions, sensory experiences, and personal stories through a bold geometric visual language.
Each piece is the result of a long inner process, where everyday feelings and lived experiences are gradually distilled into minimalist, geometric forms. QR codes accompany the works, offering visitors additional context about the background and meaning behind each piece — a small detail that makes the experience feel genuinely interactive.

A Continuation of a Berlin Exhibition
The “Art is Therapy” exhibition is a conceptual continuation of an earlier show Horváth Lóczi Judit presented in Berlin in 2020, now reimagined and enriched with new works for a Budapest audience. It’s a rare opportunity to see an artist’s evolving creative dialogue across cities and years — for free, no gallery ticket required.
Why Tourists Will Love This Experience
Art Corner is the kind of cultural experience that feels effortless. You can drop in before dinner at Leo Bistro, enjoy a coffee at Hotel Clark, or simply wander in during a walk around the Clark Ádám tér area near the iconic Chain Bridge. There’s no need to plan ahead or book tickets — the art is simply there, waiting for you, in a beautifully designed hotel and bistro setting.
The exhibition creates an exciting contrast between contemporary Hungarian art and the warm, design-forward atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant spaces. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just curious, the combination of relaxed hospitality and thought-provoking art makes for an unexpectedly memorable stop.
