Incredible Achievements at the Paris Olympics: Hungarian Athletes Shine on the World Stage!

The 2024 Paris Olympics have come to a close, and what an incredible journey it has been for Hungarian athletes! Our talented sportsmen and women have brought home an impressive haul of medals, making the entire nation proud.

Let’s start with the show-stopper: Michelle Gulyás from Budapest, who not only clinched the gold medal in the pentathlon but also set a new world record in the process! Talk about making a splash on the global stage! Gulyás, who recently graduated from the National University of Public Service and became a police lieutenant in Budapest, is without doubt an unparalleled role model for all her hard work and dedication that flew her to the top of both her class and the Olympics!

But wait, there’s more! Hungary outshone all of its neighboring countries in the medal count. In the European standings, we secured an impressive 6th place. Not bad for a small country with a big heart and even bigger determination! Hungary’s final medal count stands at 6 gold, 7 silver, and 6 bronze, securing a commendable 14th place finish. Our athletes have done us proud across a range of sports, from swimming and fencing to kayaking and modern pentathlon.
