Don’t Miss The Giant Moon Installation in Budapest
A colossal moon installation has been placed in the heart of Budapest by Lumiere Hall, the new art space hosting multimedia exhibition showcasing the works of Van Gogh. The moon, nearly as large as the entire Piarista köz passageway where it is located, floats in the air at a height of 3.5 meters, directly opposite the entrance to the Van Gogh exhibition.
The installation will be on display for approximately two months, and during this time, locals and tourists alike can admire it day and night. The best time to visit the installation is around sundown when the sun’s rays are getting weaker, and the moon’s internal illumination comes to life, creating a mesmerizing sight.
The moon is an exact copy of the entire surface of the Moon, with a detailed imprint that even includes the far side. Despite its large size, the object weighs only 25 kilograms and maintains its round shape thanks to the constant airflow inside.
Beneath the moon and within Lumiere Hall, concerts featuring dark jazz and space jazz styles will be held, along with performances by a symphony orchestra and various artistic and cultural events.
Foreign tourists visiting Hungary should not miss this unique opportunity to walk beneath the enchanting moon in Piarista köz, just a stone’s throw away from the bustling Váci utca. The giant moon installation is a captivating addition to the already impressive Van Gogh exhibition, making it a must-see attraction during your stay in Budapest.
