Margaret Island Summer Festival
One of the highlights of the summer festival season in Budapest is the Margaret Island Summer Festival. This long-running outdoor festival offers over 70 performances and events from May through August at the picturesque Margaret Island Open Air Theatre.
The festival features an incredible lineup of international stars, renowned Hungarian artists, legendary performers, grand musical experiences, premieres, stunning visual productions, and gala concerts. It aims to provide high-quality entertainment for all ages.
The Open Air Theatre on Margaret Island is a unique venue, famous for its outstanding international repertoire that brings world-class artists and companies to its grand stage each year. In addition to the 3,000-seat main theatre, the festival utilizes other areas of the island like the cloister walkways and historic water tower for themed programs.
