Budapest Parade Returns to Andrássy Avenue in 2027

More than 20 years after its last edition, the legendary Budapest Parade is coming back to Andrássy Avenue. Mark your calendars for August 28, 2027, a Saturday, running from 2 pm to 10 pm.
What to Expect
Inspired by Berlin’s Love Parade, the original Budapest Parade filled Andrássy Avenue with sound trucks and electronic music every summer from 2000 to 2006, once drawing crowds of hundreds of thousands. The 2027 comeback plans to bring roughly 30 sound-equipped trucks looping along the stretch between Heroes’ Square and Oktogon, grouped loosely by genre, with techno, trance, drum and bass, house, and dub all expected. No DJ lineup has been announced yet.
Good to Know
Entry is free, funded through volunteer support and public donations rather than ticket sales. Andrássy Avenue, Budapest’s grand UNESCO-listed boulevard, is easily reached by metro at either Heroes’ Square or Oktogon. As of now, the event still needs formal approval from the Municipality of Budapest, so it’s worth checking the official Budapest Parade website closer to the date for final route details and confirmation before planning your trip around it.
