Revving Up for Budapest’s Open Road Days Festival

Revving Up for Budapest's Open Road Days Festival

If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast or just looking for an exciting festival experience, mark your calendars for the Budapest Open Road Days from June 27-29, 2024. This three-day celebration along the Danube riverbanks in the heart of the city promises high-octane entertainment for all ages.

The festival grounds will stretch along the Műegyetem Rakpart between Petőfi Bridge and Szabadság Bridge, featuring 13 program areas and four music stages. Headlining the main stage on June 29th is the iconic Hungarian rock band Tankcsapda, celebrating their 35th anniversary with their first major Budapest concert of the year.

But the music lineup has something for everyone, including the Godfather rock band on June 28th, a blues concert by Little G Weevil and K.C. Brown, and performances by Mystery Gang and others.

The real stars, however, are the motorcycles and stunts. The festival kicks off on June 27th with a group motorcycle tour to Lake Balaton and culminates with a grand motorcycle parade through Budapest on the 29th.

At the central “Motor Stage” tent, all the major motorcycle brands will be on display, with opportunities for test rides, expert talks, and entertainment. Prepare to be wowed by daring motorcycle and BMX stunt shows throughout the grounds.

For motorcycle history buffs, don’t miss the special Harley-Davidson exhibit showcasing iconic models from the brand’s past. You can even sign up for free test rides on new Harleys.

Families are welcome too at the dedicated Family-Kid Zone area with activities for children. Relax at the “Plage on the Danube Bank” when you need a break from the roaring engines.

Whether you’re a diehard biker or just looking for a unique Budapest experience, the Open Road Days festival promises an adrenaline-filled celebration of music, motorcycles, and summer fun. Mark your calendars and get revved up!
