Pumpkin Festival in Budapest’s City Park: Opening Weekend, 17–18 October 2026

Autumn is coming to Budapest’s City Park with pumpkins, music and plenty for families to do together. The City Park Pumpkin Festival opens on 17–18 October 2026 at the City Park Ice Rink and Boating Lake, transforming the venue into a colourful setting for a weekend outdoors.
Pumpkins, Music and Family Fun
The festival promises children’s performers, family concerts and DJ sets, alongside an amusement park for younger visitors and grown-ups. Pumpkins take centre stage: you can watch an artist create intricate carvings, then try carving or painting one yourself with the family.
Best deals of Budapest
Autumn decorations, straw bales, lights and pumpkin installations will give the venue a seasonal look, with photo spots for a keepsake from your Budapest trip. The programme is designed around shared activities, so you can enjoy the atmosphere even if you do not speak Hungarian, though stage performances may be in the local language.
Planning Your Visit
The opening Saturday, 17 October, is advertised from 10 am to 10 pm. The festival also takes place on Sunday, 18 October, but a separate opening time has not been provided. Organiser BudapestFeszt says the detailed programme and performer lineup are still to come, so check those details before choosing when to visit.
If you miss the opening weekend, the festival returns on 23–25 October and 31 October–1 November. The final weekend will have a Halloween theme.
