When MOL Bubi was first introduced, it quickly won the hearts of Budapest’s residents. But it was the MOL Bubi 2.0 upgrade that really took things to the next level. With the innovations implemented in 2021, the number of rides skyrocketed, increasing 5 to 8 times compared to the initial years of the system. The popularity of this bicycle sharing service has been unwavering ever since, becoming an integral part of Budapest’s transportation landscape.

Over the past decade, BKK customers have embarked on an impressive 13.5 million journeys using MOL Bubi bikes, pedaling their way through approximately 27 million kilometers in total. That’s a whole lot of cycling!

But the evolution doesn’t stop there. The future looks bright for MOL Bubi, with plans for the Bubi 3.0 system to double the current fleet by 2026.
