Valentine’s Day 2-for-1 at the Budapest Zoo

Valentine’s Day 2-for-1 at the Budapest Zoo

Calling all lovebirds, penguin-level loyal couples, and bestie duos: the Budapest Zoo is rolling out a Valentine’s deal that’s almost as sweet as watching otters hold hands. On February 14 (Friday) and February 15 (Saturday), two of you can waltz into the zoo for the price of just one ticket, which leaves more budget for chocolates, flowers, or an extra round of lángos later.

How the lovebirds’ 2-for-1 ticket works

On these two days, the zoo offers a special Valentine’s pair discount: two people enter on one ticket, as long as you arrive in a duo. It works with all regular ticket types – adult, child, student, or senior – so you can mix and match your lovebird combo. If you qualify for different ticket categories (say, one adult and one student), you still only buy one ticket, but it will be the higher-priced one.

The discount cannot be combined with other promotions, but it is refreshingly inclusive: it’s not only for romantically entangled lovebirds, but also for friends, siblings, and relatives who simply enjoy spending time together among giraffes, lemurs, and very judgmental flamingos.

A wildly cute date idea

The Budapest Zoo makes a surprisingly perfect date spot for humans in pairs:

  • You can stroll hand in hand through leafy paths and historic animal houses, pretending you’re in a romcom where the extras are zebras.
  • You can pause at your “spirit animal” enclosures and secretly decide which one your partner really resembles (no pressure if it’s a sleepy sloth).
  • You can snap cute couple photos in front of the more majestic residents and send them home with the caption: “We’re the real lovebirds here.”

Because the offer is valid on Friday, February 14 and also on Saturday, February 15, you can still enjoy the deal even if Valentine’s Day itself is a busy workday in your Budapest itinerary. Whether you arrive as classic romantic lovebirds or as a platonic power duo, this 2-for-1 zoo ticket is a fun, light-hearted way to celebrate Valentine’s in one of the city’s most charming attractions.
