Dance the Night Away at the Hungarian Heritage House
A Living Tradition in the Heart of Budapest
If you want to experience real Hungarian culture beyond sightseeing, spend an evening at the Hungarian Heritage House Dance House — where tradition comes to life through music, dance, and community. The new season of this beloved folk dance series begins on January 31, 2026 (Saturday, 7:00 pm) at the Hungarian Heritage House, Corvin tér 8., Budapest, 1011, in the stunning glass-roofed Atrium beside Buda Castle.
From that evening onwards, the dance houses will continue every Saturday from 7 pm to 2 am, turning the venue into a vibrant hub of Hungarian folk culture. Each event offers dance lessons, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere where locals and visitors connect through rhythm and movement.
A Dance Experience for Everyone
The Dance House warmly welcomes beginners and returning dancers alike. If you’ve never tried Hungarian folk dancing before, the beginner’s class offers an easy and fun introduction — helping you gain the basic steps to fully enjoy the later dance house sessions.

Each series focuses on the folk traditions of a particular Hungarian region. Over several weeks, participants can learn local dances from skilled instructors, culminating in a festive ball featuring musicians and singers from that same region. - From 9 pm (dance house only): 1,400 HUF
Tickets are available at the venue until 10 pm, after which they can be purchased online via the Hungarian Heritage House website or social media.
A buffet operates in the Atrium during the event, offering drinks and snacks. Please note that only food and beverages bought onsite may be consumed inside the building.
