A Festival with a Mission

Klímafesztivál is part of the larger RAKPART~2025 project, a city initiative that reimagines the Pest embankment as a vibrant, green, and accessible public space. From March to October, the Jane Haining embankment regularly opens to pedestrians and cyclists, offering a unique escape from city traffic with breathtaking views of the Danube and Budapest’s historic skyline.

This year’s festival is extra special: 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of the embankment’s transformation into one of Budapest’s favorite leisure destinations. It’s also the last year to experience the embankment in its current form before major renovations begin as part of the “Reviving the Embankment 2030” project.
