The vehicles are manufactured by BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle giant that has become a major player in the European public transport market. Budapest’s transport operator BKK partnered with ArrivaBus Kft. as the service provider, and the two organisations put the buses through multiple rounds of rigorous testing before letting them loose on city streets. The goal was to ensure that every journey meets the highest possible standard of reliability — something Budapest’s famously punctual transport network takes seriously.
