A Fun Indoor Playground for Families and Kids
If you’re visiting Budapest with kids and looking for a fun, active way to burn off energy — especially when it’s cold or rainy outside — the PlayDome at the Biodome is a perfect choice. From 27 December 2025 to 22 February 2026, this lively indoor playground opens its doors at the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, offering hours of bouncing, sliding, and imaginative play in a safe, enclosed space.
Whether you’re here for the holidays or a winter city break, PlayDome is a great option for families who want a relaxed, playful break from sightseeing.
What Is PlayDome?
PlayDome is a large, inflatable indoor playground designed for children and families. It’s not just a bouncy castle — it’s a full activity zone where kids can:
Best deals of Budapest
- Jump and bounce in giant inflatable arenas.
- Zoom down big slides and crawl through tunnels.
- Climb, balance, and tackle fun obstacle courses.
- Play with interactive games and soft play elements.
There’s also a LEGO building zone and a selection of board games, so even when they need a short break from jumping, there’s still plenty to keep them entertained.
Fun for All Ages
PlayDome is designed to be enjoyable for all age groups, but it’s especially great for families with young children.
- The playground is recommended for kids aged 5 and up, but younger children can join in under close adult supervision.
- Kids under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Parents and older siblings can join in the fun too, making it a shared family experience.
It’s a great way to get some safe, energetic movement in during the winter months, without having to brave the cold for long.
