Hearts of Budapest – Photo Exhibition at Massolit Books & Café

Ten years of heart-hunting across Budapest and beyond
If you love photography, storytelling, or simply finding beauty in the everyday, don’t miss the latest exhibition at Massolit Books & Café (1072 Budapest, Nagy Diófa utca 30). Opening this winter and running until Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2026), the show celebrates ten years of heart-shaped discoveries by photographer Viktória Kellermann, who has spent a decade capturing hearts hidden in puddles, graffiti, gates, and city corners across Hungary and Europe.
The exhibition features hundreds of photographs pinned to large cork boards — vivid visual notes from Budapest’s streets, small towns, and international travels. Each image contains at least one heart, often hard to spot at first glance, making the collection part city diary, part emotional chronicle, and part playful treasure hunt.

Guided tours and creative events
Before the grand closing celebration, you can join Hungarian and English guided tours led by the artist herself on January 29 and February 12 (both Thursdays). The finissage on Valentine’s Day will transform the venue into a day-long creative festival with collage-making, heart-hunting walks, guided tours, and impromptu performances. Entry is free for everyone.
About the artist
Viktória Kellermann, born in Zalaegerszeg in 1984, balances multiple roles — by day she works in the corporate world; by night she’s a translator, cultural manager, and passionate urban wanderer. After exhibiting glass paintings and collages in earlier years, this is her first-ever photography exhibition, marking a decade-long project that began with a simple heart-shaped stain seen from a balcony in 2016.
