This April, Budapest invites you to embark on a global musical journey. From 9 to 11 April 2026, the House of Music Hungary hosts Budapest Ritmo, the city’s most diverse and vibrant world music festival. As part of the Bartók Spring International Arts Weeks, Ritmo celebrates its 11th edition with artists from every corner of the world, blending folk, fusion, electronic, and traditional sounds into an unforgettable experience.
A Festival of Musical Discovery
Budapest Ritmo is known for its adventurous programming and its warm, intimate vibe. This year’s lineup features international and local stars who showcase the richness of global music culture:
- Ko Shin Moon (France) – Experimental explorers of sound, merging traditional string instruments with bold electronic vibes for an energetic show.
- dal:um (South Korea) – A mesmerizing duo combining the delicacy of traditional Korean instruments with modern minimalism and improvisation.
- Grupo Compay Segundo (Cuba) – The unmistakable masters of Cuban son and bolero, bringing the rhythm of Havana to the stage.
- Bakalina Velika (Slovenia) – Folk-inspired sounds fused with poetic storytelling and Balkan energy.
- Hakumba (Hungary) – A local favorite bringing pulsating beats and colorful world music twists.

The concerts kick off with a free opening night on Thursday, April 9, followed by two nights of ticketed events. Whether you’re drawn to Korean minimalism, Parisian ethnotronica, or Cuban rhythms, Ritmo will take you on a musical journey across continents — no passport required.
