Magical Megyeri: Hungary’s Tallest Christmas Tree Lights Up!

Are you ready for some holiday magic? Well, get ready because the Megyeri Bridge in Hungary is transforming into the country’s tallest Christmas tree! Yes, you heard that right! The Megyeri Bridge will be decked out in festive decorations, making it look like a hundred-meter tall Christmas tree. Talk about taking holiday spirit to new heights!

Starting from December 20th until the 26th, the Megyeri Bridge will be adorned with twinkling lights and special green foil decorations. Every evening, as darkness falls, you’ll be able to see the bridge shining in all its green glory. The special green foil on the lighting fixtures will give the bridge a festive glow that is sure to brighten up your holiday spirits.

But that’s not all! The top of each pylon on both sides of the bridge will have star-shaped decorations made from robot lights. It’s like a Christmas star on top of a giant tree! And if that’s not enough, there will be special decorative lights placed in the glass sections of the pylons. It’s going to be a sight to behold!

Safety First!

Now, while we want everyone to enjoy this magical display, safety always comes first. So please, do not stop in the emergency lane to take pictures or admire the decorations up close. Instead, if you want to snap some photos, approach the bridge from Route 2. You can safely walk or bike under the bridge from the Pest side to get to the viewing spot.

The road maintenance workers have also asked everyone passing through to be cautious and follow traffic rules. Remember to keep a safe distance between vehicles and drive carefully. The traffic and use of emergency lanes will be monitored regularly by road maintenance professionals.
