Dua Lipa Visits Budapest This Christmas

Dua Lipa’s wax figure has arrived in Budapest and will be on display at Madame Tussauds Budapest for a few weeks. The music superstar was actively involved in the creation of her figure, with her biological data being recorded for hours to ensure the most lifelike result.

Madame Tussauds Budapest brought the figure to Hungary for the Christmas season, with it arriving from Amsterdam and staying in the Dorottya Street location until the end of January.

Crafstmanship Behind The Figure

Dua Lipa personally played a significant role in the creation of her wax figure. She participated in a process called “sitting,” during which Madame Tussauds experts used state-of-the-art technology to capture her biological data, from eye distance to height, skin tone to eye color. Lipa posed for hours in the studio, and then it took another four months for the figure to be completed.

The artist is a big fan of discreet tattoos, with 18 designs adorning her body. Some of these tattoos are visible on the wax figure, such as the “Patience” inscription on her left hand. The figure also showcases tattoos on its fingers designed by world-renowned graffiti artist Keith Haring. These tattoos represent important aspects of Lipa’s life, including her family and the Sunny Hill festival organized by her father in Kosovo.

The figure wears an Alessandra Rich-designed satin gown. This elegant and daring outfit was previously seen on Lipa at the 2018 Billboard Awards and can now be admired by millions of viewers.

Dua Lipa’s “Return” to Budapest

At just under 30 years old, Dua Lipa has already achieved a fairytale-like career. Born in England to Albanian parents, Lipa moved to London at the age of 15 to pursue her dream of becoming a performer.

“If I weren’t a singer, I would probably be a fairytale princess,” Lipa once said. Despite being under 30 years old, she has already achieved a fairytale-like career. Moving alone from Kosovo to London at the age of 15, Lipa has now won three Grammy Awards, amassed millions of fans, and has four Madame Tussauds figures. Dua Lipa is one of the world’s most valuable personalities, with an entire brand built around her.

Dua Lipa has performed twice at Sziget Festival and secretly visited Hungary earlier this year when filming the music video for her song “Falling Forever.”
