A new rhythm is coming to the walls of Akvárium Klub this January — the sound of Hungarian folk music. Launching on January 22, 2026, the AkvaFolk series brings a fresh cultural experience to Budapest’s nightlife. Every other Thursday, locals and visitors alike can immerse themselves in live concerts and lively táncház (traditional dance house) events that blend centuries-old traditions with the energy of the modern city.

The opening night of AkvaFolk coincides with the Day of Hungarian Culture, making it the perfect occasion to discover Hungary’s most authentic rhythms. The evening begins with a vibrant concert by Tokos Zenekar, joined by renowned folk performers Kacsó HangaHideg Anna, and Pál István Szalonna. After the concert, the celebration continues with a festive táncház featuring the Tindia and Baxtale bands. Expect exhilarating live music, spirited dancing, and a welcoming atmosphere where tradition meets urban creativity.
