Art Weekend Budapest 2025

Art Weekend Budapest 2025

Art Weekend Budapest returns for its third edition from November 28 to 30, 2025, offering a vibrant celebration of contemporary art spread across 42 venues throughout the city. This free festival invites art lovers, families, and groups of friends to explore the dynamic art scene in galleries, studios, and alternative exhibition spaces that open their doors to the public.

Diverse Art Walks and Exhibitions

During the three-day event, visitors can join organized art walks lasting one and a half to two hours, each covering three to four nearby exhibitions. Tours run multiple times daily at 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, and 16:00, allowing flexibility to fit your schedule. Special walks are designed for younger audiences aged 14 to 20, and this year’s tour guides include renowned personalities from various art disciplines and business sectors.

For the first time, corporate art collections play a prominent role, with selections from the STRABAG ART and KPMG collections featured. The festival’s central exhibition, “Zones of Opacity,” opens on November 27 at Brody House and runs through January 9, 2026. This thought-provoking show examines the boundaries between visibility and concealment in contemporary art, featuring invited artists from the STRABAG ART collection and beyond.

Special Programs

On November 29, the Colourful Noise video art show premieres at the Pikszis Kultúrpont, presenting a curated selection of daring and socially critical video artworks from close to 800 international submissions. The festival concludes on November 30 with a chamber concert by the Dolcissimo Morbido Quartet at Enikő Czigány’s studio.
