BKK and The Police Checking Up On Our Favorite Tram Lines and More

Inspecting the 4-6 tram lines

Hey there, folks! It seems like the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) and the Budapest Transport Center (BKK) are at it again, joining forces to keep our public transportation system safe and clean. This dynamic duo has teamed up before, and they’re back in action to ensure that everyone can enjoy a smooth ride through the city.

Picture this: you’re hopping on the tram, ready to start your day, and suddenly you spot a group of officers and inspectors. Don’t worry, they’re not there to cause trouble – quite the opposite! They’re working together to check tickets, maintain order, and keep the vehicles in tip-top shape.

During their most recent collaboration, the BRFK and BKK focused their efforts on the 4 and 6 tram lines. They brought along a whole crew, including ticket inspectors, security guards, quality control officers, police patrols, and public space supervisors. Talk about a dream team!

Over the course of the weekend, they checked more than 6,300 passengers to make sure everyone had a valid ticket. They also kept an eye out for any mischief-makers who might be causing a disturbance or breaking the rules. The goal? To create a safe and pleasant environment for all passengers.

But wait, there’s more! The BKK’s quality control officers conducted 49 inspections to ensure the cleanliness and physical condition of the trams were up to par. Meanwhile, the FÖRI’s public space supervisors hopped on the trams 105 times to enforce the rules and keep an eye on the stops.

And let’s not forget about the unsung heroes – the BKV employees. They were the eyes and ears of the operation, always ready to alert the police or call in the cavalry (a.k.a. the public space supervisors) if needed.

So, the next time you’re riding the tram or metro in Budapest, remember that the BRFK and BKK are working hard behind the scenes to make your journey as safe and enjoyable as possible. It’s all part of their ongoing mission to keep our city clean, friendly, and hassle-free. Three cheers for teamwork!
