On May 30–31, 2026, the iconic Magyar Vasúttörténeti Park opens its gates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM for two action-packed days of music, theatre, circus acts, creative workshops, and loads more. Whether you’re travelling with toddlers or teenagers, there’s something here for every age.

What Makes This Event Special

This isn’t just a children’s day celebration — it’s a full-on family festival set inside Europe’s largest open-air railway experience park. Kids get free entry, making it a fantastic and affordable day out for families visiting Budapest. Please note that the event’s performances and presentations are conducted in Hungarian. That said, plenty of the activities — from the circus acts and exotic animal encounters to the creative workshops and hands-on railway exhibits — are just as fun and engaging for non-Hungarian speakers.
